Why
The job it does
After Effects imports .ai files as flat footage, not shapes you can animate. So you trace over them, or fight Create Shapes from Vector Layer and clean up the mess. VectorBridge moves the actual vectors.
How it works
How it works
Step 1
Select in Illustrator
Select your paths and send them to After Effects.
Step 2
Import in After Effects
They land in the comp as native shape layers, every path editable. One layer per shape, or all in one.
Step 3
Bring them back
Built or tweaked shapes in After Effects? Export them to Illustrator as real paths.

Questions
Before you buy
What doesn't transfer?
Gradients are flattened to a solid colour; opacity and effects are not transferred.
Do I need both apps?
You need both for the bridge. One is enough to open the panel.
Does it work on a Mac?
CEP is cross-platform and the panel has no OS-specific code, but it hasn't been tested on a Mac yet. If it doesn't work for you, full refund within 14 days.
