Install a LACIMA plug-in

From the downloaded file to an open, activated panel. Jump to: NineSlicer · SpriteExporter · SpriteSheet · PixelDrop · VectorBridge · If something goes wrong

1. Get the file

Bought on lacimatools.com: the email with your key has a Download button, and so has Find my key. Free plug-ins: use the link in the email we sent you (it works for 7 days; ask again on the plug-in page for a fresh one). Bought on itch.io: download from your itch.io library.

2. Install a Photoshop plug-in (.ccx)

Unzip the download, then double-click the .ccx file. The Creative Cloud app installs it and confirms. Restart Photoshop.

If double-clicking does nothing (Creative Cloud not running, or a file association missing), install it with Adobe's own installer from a terminal:

Windows (Command Prompt):

"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Desktop Common\RemoteComponents\UPI\UnifiedPluginInstallerAgent\UnifiedPluginInstallerAgent.exe" /install "C:\path\to\the-file.ccx"

macOS (Terminal):

3. Find the panel

In Photoshop open the Plugins menu (Plugin in Italian, Zusatzmodule in German) and choose LACIMA followed by the plug-in name. Not in the menu? Restart Photoshop once more, and check Plugins > Manage Plugins in Creative Cloud that the plug-in is listed and turned on.

4. Activate (paid plug-ins)

The panel opens on the activation screen. The most reliable way: click Activate from file and pick the license.txt you downloaded from Find my key. Or copy the whole key (it starts with LACIMA1.) and press Paste.

Copy the key from the email, from Find my key or from a plain-text editor: some apps silently drop characters such as _ from it. Keep your license.txt: reinstalling the plug-in clears what it stored, and you'll need the key again (Find my key always gives the same one).

One key works on 2 computers. On a third one the panel says so: free a slot from Find my key.

NineSlicer

Paid plug-in for Adobe Photoshop 2023 (v24.0) or later.

  1. Unzip the download and double-click LACIMA_NineSlicer_….ccx. Creative Cloud installs it.
  2. Restart Photoshop.
  3. Open the panel: Plugins > LACIMA NineSlicer.
  4. Activate: click Activate from file and pick your license.txt, or copy the whole key and press Paste.

SpriteExporter

Paid plug-in for Adobe Photoshop 2023 (v24.0) or later.

  1. Unzip the download and double-click LACIMA_SpriteExporter_….ccx. Creative Cloud installs it.
  2. Restart Photoshop.
  3. Open the panel: Plugins > LACIMA SpriteExporter.
  4. Activate: click Activate from file… and pick your license.txt, or copy the whole key and press Paste.

SpriteSheet

Free plug-in for Adobe Photoshop 2023 (v24.0) or later. No key, no account, nothing to activate.

  1. Unzip the download and double-click LACIMA_SpriteSheet_….ccx. Creative Cloud installs it.
  2. Restart Photoshop.
  3. Open the panel: Plugins > LACIMA SpriteSheet.

PixelDrop

Free plug-in for Adobe Photoshop 2023 (v24.0) or later. No key, no account, nothing to activate.

  1. Unzip the download and double-click LACIMA_PixelDrop_….ccx. Creative Cloud installs it.
  2. Restart Photoshop.
  3. Open the panel: Plugins > LACIMA PixelDrop.

VectorBridge

Paid extension for Adobe Illustrator and Adobe After Effects (any recent CC version). It is a .zxp file, not a .ccx: Creative Cloud does not install it by double-click.

  1. Install a free ZXP installer, for example aescripts ZXP Installer, and drag VectorBridge.zxp into its window.
  2. Restart Illustrator and After Effects.
  3. Open the panel in either app: Window > Extensions > VectorBridge.
  4. Paste your key in the panel and click Activate.

If something goes wrong

  • Installed, but not in the menu: restart the app; check the Plugins menu name in your language (above); make sure your Photoshop is 2023 (v24.0) or later.
  • The key is not accepted: copy it again from Find my key, all of it, or use Activate from file with license.txt.
  • "Used on 2 computers": free a slot on Find my key (3 times every 30 days; for more, write to us).
  • Lost the email or the key: Find my key with your purchase email.
